Transform SY – the people accelerator developing excellent entrepreneurs in South Yorkshire, is set to deliver a 2-day business sprint in November.

03/10/2022 |

After supporting 18 businesses to launch new products and services since the start of the year, the Transform SY team is opening applications for a 2-day business sprint. Driven by demand from founders in the region for a programme based on the accelerator’s ethos, the event covers the main points of an accelerator packed into a short, sharp activity.

Transform SY BizJam will be delivered by the Transform SY team, with a decade of expertise in startup and entrepreneurial support. The Sprint will be on the 22 & 23 November and is a great opportunity for early-stage founders looking for a burst of progress or mature founders who are looking for a reset or a new spur of energy for their business.

Entrepreneurs who apply for Transform SY BizJam should expect to:
1. Come out of the event with an ambitious 90-day action plan to transform their journey.
2. Learn how to pitch like the best and how to tailor their pitch according to the audience.
3. Understand the local business ecosystem and how to make the most of it.
4. Get access to Transform SY’s Mentorship Pool that consists of 14 individuals with expertise in entrepreneurship, marketing, pricing, and many other areas.

‘We’ve met a lot of founders in South Yorkshire who are very interested in our mindset-led approach to acceleration and business support but are not ready to commit to a 6-month programme. As our main purpose is to serve the entrepreneurs in the region, we decided to accommodate their needs and create a shorter, 2-day business sprint where we will equip early-stage founders with everything they need to jumpstart their entrepreneurial journeys,’ said Denislav Ivanov, Marketing & Community Manager for Transform SY.

Transform SY is part of TEAM SY – a European-funded, region-wide project supporting the tech startup ecosystem of South Yorkshire. The accelerator is supported by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and UKSE. Transform SY delivered its 1st cohort between January and June 2022 and is currently delivering its 2nd cohort. So far, they have supported the creation of 15 jobs in the region and helped 18 new businesses to launch. Amongst the alumni of the programme are Ferrio who raised investment soon after graduating the 1st cohort, Corporate Property Solutions and CNergy Fund.
