Launch Of Retail Tech Accelerator

International accelerator IoT Tribe launches its first Retail Tech Accelerator in Barnsley.

IoT Tribe, the global equity-free accelerator for market-ready tech startups, has launched its first cohort focused on retail tech in Barnsley. This is the third accelerator programme that IoT Tribe has delivered in partnership with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.

Barnsley is committing to supporting local businesses in their pandemic recovery efforts through seven Prioritised Recovery Projects as part of a £2 million economic investment by Barnsley City Council and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. The IoT Tribe Retail Tech Accelerator programme targets startups based in the UK and

Europe with best-in-class technologies which can support the revitalisation of Barnsley’s local retail economy. IoT Tribe supports startups in developing their Proof of Value and expose them to the IoT Tribe networks in the UK and Europe as well as further afield, in Singapore and across Asia, in order to prepare them for market expansion.

With headquarters in London, IoT Tribe will be kick off the Retail Tech Accelerator in January 2022, applications to join the programme close on December 13th 2021. Together with industry experts, IoT Tribe’s programme will equip retail tech startups with the essential knowledge in business management, business development & marketing, product & technology, and investment & fundraising, to accelerate their startups to the next level. As part of the curriculum, capacity building workshops, 1- to-1 business planning sessions, pitch coaching, marketing and business development clinics, data science and technology clinics will be conducted.
